This is a 14.1 megapixel digital camera.
This camera is a 14.1 megapixel high-performance digital camera driven by it’s newly developed Exilim Engine 5.0. Great advancements have been achieved in the Dynamic Photo function, which enables users to cut out images of a moving subject and paste them on a different still image that acts as a background. With the powerful Casio H15, moving images can be combined not only on a still image but also on other moving images. This new capability increases the power of expression of images even more than before. Going further, this camera does not only increase the “fun of creating images,” but also increases the “fun of sharing images” by, for instance, making it easy to upload composite moving images to YouTube using the included software or post them to a blog.
H15 features a Premium Auto function
The Casio Exilim H15 digital camera also comes with Premium Auto, which is a state-of-the-art, fully automatic function that enables users to take beautiful photos just by pushing the shutter button. Premium Auto automatically adjusts to achieve optimal image quality by discerning the point of focus and the type of scene, whether a night scene, a backlit scene, or a sunset. This camera processes the image according to the details in the frame, for instance, by making different corrections for human subjects and background.
The Casio Exilim high speed digital camera
Thanks to the high-speed image-processing capability of this camera, moving subjects can be dynamically “cut out” and pasted into a different still shot that forms the background. Before this technology was introduced by Casio in 2009, this Hollywood-like green-screen effect was only possible with professional equipment or software, but this technology is available in the Casio EX-H15 as an in-camera process. The Casio’s Dynamic Photo feature was further enhanced through the ability to add animation art stored on the memory card to still photos captured by the camera. These animated images can be emailed, posted on social networks and even printed out at home!
Image processor
The Casio has made even further advances from its Exilim Engine 4.0, which contained both an ordinary CPU and a high-speed dedicated image processing CPU. The new Engine 5.0 increases image processing speed by 30% and produces beautiful images through advanced color reproduction and rich tonal gradation and by removing noise from photos in high sensitivity mode.
Digital Compact Camera
“The Casio is proud to introduce the Casio H15 as a new addition to the Exilim line of digital cameras powered by Casio’s high-speed technologies,” said Toshi Iguchi, senior general manager of Casio’s Digital Imaging Division. “The Casio continues to create digital cameras that enhance the photo taking and sharing experience while also providing consumers with convenience, accessibility and quality packed into a slim, sleek body.”
Dynamic Photo feature on the Casio EX-H15
The Casio has achieved great advancements in Dynamic Photo, a function that creates “moving photos” by cutting moving subjects from the background in images taken with continuous shooting and combining those images on a different still image. In addition to composites made with a still image background, cut-out moving images can now be pasted on other moving images. This new capability on the Casio H15 raises the power of expression of images. Thus, while increasing the “fun of creating images,” the Exilim H15 will also increase the “fun of sharing images” by making it easy to upload images to YouTube using the included software or post them to a blog.

This digital camera is well worth the $300US price tag. Its is an all around good camera for indoor and outdoor shooting, and has a usable high-speed shooting options for the kids sporting events. Not to mention the 10x zoom will bring Mt. Rushmore that much closer on the family vacation. Add to that some cool and fun to use art filters, the Dynamic Photo process and making some classic silent movies, and one wonders what more you could ask for?..Oh yea it will fit in a pocket to boot!”

PCW.uk reviews the Casio Exilim EX-H15 and writes:
“Photos were bright and colourful though displayed a loss of sharpness towards edge of the frame at maximum wide-angle setting. Pixel fringing was also visible on very close inspection, but both these faults are common to small cameras. “
