The Nikon COOLPIX S6300 is equipped with 3D shooting capability. This dedicated 3D shooting mode combines two images taken from different positions to create a 3D image that can be played back on 3D-capable TVs and computers. The Nikon s6300 features a 10x optical zoom that captures unforgettable moments with ease, and you can switch to filming Full HD movies at the press of a button.

The COOLPIX S6300 is the chic choice for those who want a camera that is easy to use and ideal to carry round. With a distinctive portable design it is perfect for taking anywhere. The NIKKOR 10x optical zoom captures unforgettable moments with ease, from wide-angle group shots to stunning close-ups, and the backlit CMOS image sensor delivers brilliant detail and clarity, even in low light.

The Nikon S6300 is a new model for the popular high-power, compact zoom model class. It offers one of the most compact bodies in its class despite the built-in 10x optical zoom NIKKOR lens. It also offers an effective pixel count of 16.0-million pixels and is equipped with a lens-shift vibration reduction (VR) function that makes the most of superior camera shake compensation precision. The S6300 offers superior image quality for both still images and movies recorded with its full-HD compatible movie function, as well as excellent balance between still image and movie recording functions.
The S6300 offers a slightly more modest 10x zoom and a 16MP CMOS sensor. This is backlit too, meaning it can increase the amount of light it captures and in theory put in a better performance when light levels drop. This combines two images taken from different positions to create a picture that can be viewed on 3D TVs and monitors. It incudes one-touch Full HD movie recording, 19 scene modes and in-camera filter effects.

The COOLPIX S6300 switches to Full HD (1080p) movie recording at the touch of a button, and 19 scene modes automatically optimise the camera settings for popular styles, effects and locations. The controls are logically and typically placed, reflecting the layout on almost all other Nikon Coolpix cameras. The S6300 is primarily designed as a point and shoot, so there isn’t much in the way of control on offer.

The S6300 measures 93.6 x 57.7 x 26mm and weighs 160g and like all the new Nikon cameras it feels solidly built. It features a 16.1 megapixel backlit CMOS sensor, 10x optical zoom lens (25-250mm equivalent), Full HD video, 2.7 inch screen and lens-shift image stabilisation. It is the brother camera of the S6200 launched last year. It is bulkier than those models lower down the range, so it nestles into the hand better, although there isn’t a huge amount to grip on to.

The Nikon Coolpix S30 is designed with novice digital camera users in mind; users such as your little ‘uns or your grandparents. Although it packs some decent camera tech, the S30 is really all about ease of use. There’s big buttons on board, raised lenses and flashes to make finger-accidents less likely, and simple to use menus.

The Nikon S30 is based around a ten megapixel CCD sensor, plenty for the print sizes most consumer photographers desire, with a little room for cropping left over. Sensitivity ranges from ISO 80 to 1,600 equivalents, about typical for an entry-level model. A Nikkor-branded 3x optical zoom lens is said to offer wide-angle shooting possibilities, although information on effective focal lengths wasn’t available at press time. Suffice to say, though, that with 3x range, a useful wide angle will translate to only a very modest telephoto capability.

The Coolpix S30 is an entry-level model, designed not to break the bank. It will shoot stills at 10 megapixels and video at 720p and packs a 3x Nikkor optical zoom (29–87mm) making it a much more serious player than even the most impressive smartphone snappers. On the back is a 2.7-inch LCD display and the whole system is powered by a couple of AA batteries.

The Coolpix S30 offers a number of scene modes that let you tailor the look of your images without needing to understand the subtleties of shutter speeds, apertures, and ISO sensitivities. These include Point and Shoot, Underwater, Interval Shooting, Highlight Color, Diorama Effect, Closeups, Continuous, Food Mode, Soft Focus and Fireworks.

The Nikon S30 stores images and movies in a reasonably useful 47MB of built-in memory–enough to save the day if you forget to bring a flash card with you–or on removable Secure Digital cards, including the higher-capacity SDHC and SDXC types. Power comes courtesy of two standard AA batteries, and Nikon rates the S30 as capable of around 410 shots on a pair of EN-MH2 rechargeable NiMH batteries.

Its built is designed to resist shock when dropped from heights of up to 80 cm, to resist water up to depths of 3m, and resist dirt, the COOLPIX S30 welcomes hands of all sizes to shoot with it in carefree fashion. It’s also safe to use it at the pool and around water.
The COOLPIX S30 features a unique symmetrical design with buttons placed and sized for maximum ease of use. The large LCD monitor offers a clear view of the interface, which is designed to be understood easily.

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ25 features a 24mm wide-angle, 16x optical zoom, a 12.1 megapixel sensor and a mode to help you take blur-free shots. The DMC-TZ25 can shoot at 10 frames per second, features HD video and has a series of special effects that can be applied to your shots in-camera. It has a 3inch screen and can be charged via the mains or by USB.

The Lumix DMC-TZ25’s main highlight is its stabilised, 24-384mm equivalent, Leica branded zoom lens which works in tandem with the twelve-megapixel MOS sensor, enabling the camera to capture high-resolution stills at up to 10 frames per second (fps), and Full HD movies at 50fps.

The Panasonic TZ25 boasts a 24mm ultra wide angle 16x optical zoom LEICA DC VARIO-ELMAR lens that fits in a slim, pocket-sized profile. With the TZ25’s Intelligent Zoom function, the zoom increases its power to the equivalent of 32x with minimum deterioration of image quality thanks to its Intelligent Resolution Technology. It has special effects which include Creative Control mode, HDR, Panorama Shot, Creative Retouch and Auto Retouch. The DMC-TZ25 newly complies with USB power charging in addition to the conventional AC power supply.

The Panasonic DMC-TZ25 can record high-resolution full-HD 1920 x 1080 50i videos in AVCHD (MPEG-4 / H.264) format, the new camera also comply with 25p in MP4 format which has high compatibility with PCs or smartphones for editing or sharing the videos.Panasonic’s popular Intelligent Auto (iA) assists easy video recording without needing a special technique.

The combination of the 12.1-megapixel MOS sensor and the Venus Engine empowers the camera with high performance image recording capability in both sensitivity and speed. The lens, the sensor and the engine all play a significant part in improvement of image quality especially those shot in low light situations. It also contributes to the high speed burst shooting at 10 fps and approx. 0.1 sec of Light Speed AF to catch the most fleeting shooting opportunities.

Features

Dual Image Stabilisation – Mega O.I.S. optical and digital technology workstogether to counteract blurred images due to shaky hands, subject movement,or when shooting in low-light conditions – important at full zoom where asmall movement of the hand can cause a lot of movement at the other end.

28mm Wide 10x Leica Zoom Lens – cover a wide range of shooting situationsfrom wide-angle to capture more in your image, to telephoto where you canzoom up close to distant objects.

iA (Intelligent Auto) – Automatically adjusts your camera for a range ofdifferent shooting situations and includes such features as face detection, subject detection (auto-focus tracking), motion detection, red-eyecorrection, light detection.

Continuous 9-area AF – This function automatically and continuously focuseson your subject, providing a clear, sharp focus even for moving subjects. This is ideal for capturing images of animals in nature and sports or otherevents, and is equally handy for taking photos of children and pets.

Venus Engine IV with ISO 6400 – high speed image processor with ultra-highsensitivity (ISO 6400) and excellent noise reduction for better low-lightphotography. Also features short shutter lag (approx. 0.008 seconds), up to6 frames per second high-speed burst capture for catching the action, andlow power consumption (approx. 300 shots on a single charge).

HD Output – you can view your HD images or HD videos on a HDTV using theDMW-HDC2E component cable

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FT20 compact camera is dustproof, waterproof to 5m, freezeproof to -10 °C and shockproof to 1.5m. Featuring a 25-100mm equivalent internally stacked zoom lens. The Panasonic DMC-FT20 also comes with Mega O.I.S., AF Tracking, Intelligent ISO Control, Face Recognition, Intelligent Scene Selector and a variety of shooting options on board.

The DMC-FT20 has 4 active outdoor Scene Modes – Sports, Snow, Beach & Surf, and Underwater – that can be selected easily and quickly from the menu, ensuring that you don’t miss sudden shooting opportunities. The FT20 is a camera to be enjoyed, not to fret over. Want to capture images of your little one paddling at the beach but worried about sand and water damaging the camera? Or maybe you’re a keen biker who loves rough terrain but is worried about the dust and the effect of falling off your bike on the camera? Don’t worry, the FT20 is as happy in the water, on the beach or rough terrain as it is at home taking shots in the comfort of your lounge.

The 16.1-megapixel DMC-FT20 features a newly developed 25mm ultra wide angle 4x optical zoom lens. The folded optics method is adopted to secure the toughness of the lens unit. Comprising 11 elements and a prism unit in 10 groups, including an ED lens and 5 aspherical lenses with 9 aspherical surfaces, this advanced lens unit renders high resolution image corner to corner even adopting the folded optics. 25mm ultra wide angle of view enables shooting dynamic landscapes or group portrait without letting them protrude out of a frame. The 4x optical zoom increases its power to 8x equivalent with the Intelligent Zoom function with minimum deterioration of image quality thanks to the Intelligent Resolution technology.

The DMC-FT20 records dynamic HD video3 in 1280 x 720p at a smooth 30p (NTSC) 25p (PAL) in MP4 format which has high compatibility with PCs or smartphones for editing or sharing the videos. The recorded videos can be directly uploaded to YouTube. The DMC-FT20 incorporates a dedicated video button to switch between photo and video recording quickly. The 4x optical zoom is also available in video recording as well as Active Mode that minimizes hand shake even when the video is recorded while walking.

The FT20 icludes a 2.7inch Intelligent LCD with High Angle mode, ensuring images are easy to view outdoors. Once you’ve taken your shots, users can enjoy their communication with the LUMIX Image Uploader, which realizes instant image sharing via Facebook or YouTube with any PC on the spot. It comes with Mega O.I.S., AF Tracking, Intelligent ISO Control, Face Recognition, Intelligent Scene Selector and a variety of shooting options on board.

The Panasonic FT20 features an airtight body protected against water immersion, dust and sand. The FT20 is drop proof2 from a height up to 1.5m in accordance with the “MIL-STD 810F Method516.5-Shock” test standard. The lens unit is protected by a supplementary damper to absorb the force from shock impact. All components including the lens unit are re-examined to endure the temperature as low as -10 degrees C to make the FT20 freezeproof.

The Sony Handycam HDR-TD20V is a very innovative handycam camcorder. Its EXMOR R sensor is able to capture up to 20 megapixels still images and 1920×1080 full HD 60fps/24fps videos. The Sony HR-TD20V utilizes two Full HD sensors to capture true 1920 x 1080 3D video for a more immersive 3D experience.

The Sony HDR-TD20V has a Double Full HD 3D camcorder with an autostereoscopic 3D (glasses-free) playback monitor. It features Twin BSI CMOS sensors will record light gathered by twin wide angle lenses. Optical zoom once again maxes out at 10x, with optical SteadyShot in 3D and 2D shooting modes. It also features 64 GB of internal flash memory.

The Sony Handycam HDR-TD20V camcorder has a 3.5-inch glasses-free LCD, 64GB of flash storage, and dual Exmor R CMOS sensors behind 17x optical zoom lenses, which record at 1080p 60 and 24. The Sony TDV20 is also capable of 60p recording and playback via HDMI and a compatible HDTV, which provides stunning clarity and incredibly detailed playback of your videos. Plus, if you’re looking for a film-like quality to your video, 24p recording is also available.

The HDR-TD20V utilizes two Full HD sensors to capture true 1920 x 1080 3D video for a more immersive 3D experience. Each Exmor CMOS sensor affords stunning low-light sensitivity with improved image clarity and drastically reduced grain. Designed for compact cameras and camcorders, the Exmor sensor relocates the photo diodes above the support circuitry, maximizing the light gathering area per pixel so you can shoot with better results in lower lighting conditions.

The HDR-TD20V Handycam has a built-in dual lens system, as well as two sensors which enables the TD20V to capture what Sony calls Double Full HD 3D. These two Full HD images are overlapped to create the 3D effect. A 10x zoom, manual focus, and manual exposure are available during 3D recording, but other controls are very limited. Many of the advanced auto functions, like focus tracking, scene modes, and smooth slow record don’t function during 3D recording.

Manual control access includes iris, shutter, exposure, and white balance; as well as a dedicated 2D/3D switch. A 5.1 channel surround microphone is included, and the camcorder’s software is capable of face detection with voice enhancement and noise reduction.

Reviews

camcorderinfo.com reviews writes:

“A lot of the time when we see new products at CES, we come away disappointed that there aren’t enough updates or new features to make us excited. Manufacturers often love to “re-release” camcorders with a few design changes and mildly improved specs that translate to little improvement in performance or handling. We’re hinting that the Sony HDR-TD20V may be this kind of camcorder, although we can’t say for sure until we get the model into our labs for a thorough test.”

The Sony HDR-PJ760V Handycam camcorder is a Full HD model that can record using a variety of frame rates and offers 24.1 megapixel still image capture. The Sony HDR-PJ760V is capable of projecting videos of up to 100 inches diagonally in size, and storing 120 hours of video on 96 GB of internal flash memory. It features a 3-inch, 921,000-dot monitor, 5.1 channel surround microphone, and GPS functionality.

The Sony HDR-PJ760V is the latest handycam from Sony with 1080p recording and a projector to watch movies with. This camera is capable of shooting full HD 1080p and taking 24.1 megapixel still images. It comes with a 96 GB of internal flash memory which can be expanded with an SD, SDHC, or MemoryStick. This handycam has an optical zoom of 17x with controls on a 3-inch touchscreen. It has an HDMI port and a wireless remote. There is no Wi-Fi on it but has a GPS. One cool feature that it has is the pop-out screen and a projector which can shoot up to 800 inches.

The Handycam HDR-PJ760V offers a 10x optical zoom that can be controlled via the toggle on the roof of the camcorder, or by using the zoom touch-buttons on the LCD. The zoom limit of 10x isn’t all that exceptional, but most high-end HD camcorders top out with optical zoom around 10x – 15×. The large sensors and lenses in these camcorders usually can’t accommodate for much more zoom than that.

Project up to 100-inch (diag) videos with built-in projector

The Olympus VR-340 is the Olympus latest digital camera in its’ V-Series line of compact digital camera. The highlight is the 10x optical zoom lens, which is 35mm-equivalent to a 24-240mm lens. It is Combined with AF Tracking mode, to help capture and share superb close-ups and group shots of life’s most important moments, like births or weddings.

The Olympus VR-340′S 16 megapixel CCD image sensor is capable of recording 720p HD video. A simple, one-touch button allows you to record video clips with amazing clarity in high-definition, right from your camera. With sophisticated AF tracking, you can have confidence in capturing fast moving subjects like kids & pets.

The Olympus VR-340 is a 720p video device, though it’s also possible to shoot in 480p or 240p. Zoom control access is unlocked while a recording is in progress, so it’s possible to zoom in or out on your subject without pausing the movie.

The Olympus VR-340 includes all the technology you’d expect from more expensive compact cameras, including a standout 16-megapixel sensor, AF Illuminator and higher ISO for shooting in low light, designed to enhance your shots.

The VR-340 also has an AF Illuminator and upgraded ISO capabilities to enhance the quality of low light photography. Beauty Make-up Mode is a new feature this year making it onto many other Olympus cameras. It allows you to add eyeliner and other make-up effects to photos as well as physically altering your photo subjects in-camera without the need of expensive software like Adobe Photoshop.

The Olympus VR-340 digital camera condenses 10x optical zoom into a pocketable chassis, and captures shots on a new 16 megapixel CCD. This small camera is moderately comfortable to hold in either one hand or two. We appreciate the addition of a rubberized thumb rest on the rear panel.

Reviews:

digitalcamerainfo.com reviews writes:

“Shooting with the VR-340 feels…okay. Not great, but passable. The interface can be simple for those who want it that way, but the sluggish operation will slow down experienced users. Physical handling is the same way: the new rubber is decent, but there’s really not much that can be done about the ultracompact form factor. Our outlook for this camera is neither good nor bad. With features as plain as they are, and no information about image quality, it’s just too early to tell. And with so many similar models out there in this highly competitive segment, we think the success of the VR-340 could go either way.”
